A: Online Branch is a service that allows you to use a personal computer with an Internet connection to conduct your banking online.
Q: What can I do with Online Branch?
A: You can view account balances and transaction history, transfer money, download transactions to a personal financial manager, and much more. Check out the Online Branch Demo to see all the features of Internet Banking and how you can personalize your Online Branch experience.
Q: Is any of my personal information stored in Online Branch?
A: Yes, Online Branch stores your User ID, password, and user preferences. If you keep a stock portfolio, that information can also be tracked.
Q: How current is my information?
A: Your account and balances are real-time.
Q: What accounts will I be able to access through Online Branch?
A: You can access your all your CommonWealth One accounts including your Visa Credit Card information.
Q: How much account information can I view at once?
A: The default view in Online Branch is the current month's transactions. However, by selecting User Preferences, you can choose to view the current month and the previous month. Or, you can choose to view your account from the current date to same date of the previous month.
Q: Can I view my account details in more than one way?
A: Yes, you can view your accounts by date, check number, payee, amount or balance in ascending or descending order.
Q: What formats can I download my transaction history in?
A: Online Branch supports a download to Quicken, Microsoft Money, or as a comma-delimited text file.
Q: When can I use Online Branch?
A: You have access to Online Branch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
Q: Is there a demo available for me to try?
A: Yes, we have an Online Branch Demo that allows you to review the product in detail.
Q: How long can I be inactive within an online session before being logged out of Online Branch?
A: The inactivity time-out default is set for 20 minutes. However, you can define the time-out period within the User Options area for 20, 30 or 40 minutes.
Q: How long can I be an inactive user before my Online Branch account is closed?
A: After 120 days of inactivity, your Online Branch account will be deactivated. To reactivate your accounts contact us.
Q: What is required to use Online Branch?
A: All you need to use Online Branch is a secure browser that supports 128 bit encryption, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer®, Netscape Navigator® or America Online®. You can use any computer that has Internet access.
Q: How do I activate my Online Branch service?
A: When you open a share account with CommonWealth One, your Online Branch account is automatically established. The first time you sign-in your password will be the last 4-digits of your Social Security Number, you will be automatically prompted to change your password. Q: What happens if I get locked out of Online Branch?
A: You may call a Member Service Representative Monday - Friday, 7:45am-6pm; Sat, 9am-1pm at 800.424.3334 (toll-free, our of 703 calling area) or 703.823.5211 to have them reset your access.
Q: Can I view my account statement online?
A: Yes. You may sign up for E-Statements. E-Statements are free, more secure, eliminate the need to file the paper and can be accessed faster. E-statements also provide access to 12-months of statement history. To sign-up for or to receive your statement electronially and eliminate the paper click here.
Q: Can I change my address online?
A: Yes. This service is provided to all members who are registered for Online Banking. Just follow these easy instructions: log on to Online Branch, then click Secure Forms. You will be directed to a page that gives you the option to open a Change Address Form.
