It's New Year's resolution time!

Traditionally, this is the time of year when we reflect on the past year and consider the ways we can be better, healthier, happier and meet new goals in the new year. For many people, New Year's resolutions are financial — you may want to earn more, spend less, or save up for something big like a home, car, education or even retirement!

Even if inflation or a setback hit you in the wallet in 2022, the new year is a new opportunity to get back on track.

Here at CommonWealth One, our resolution is to keep our commitment to helping you meet your own financial goals. We want to help ensure that you really are in a better financial position at this time next year.

In other words: Our resolution is to help you keep yours!

Here are four ways we're going to do that!

1. More free financial counseling for you! We have several certified financial counselors on our staff here at CommonWealth One, and this year we'll be adding even more counselors through a new partnership with GreenPath! If you need to climb out of debt, we can help you develop a plan and a budget to accomplish that. If you need to start saving for something big, we can help you find the right ways to do that, too. Need to get control over your spending? Let's sit down and work on a budget. To set up an appointment, just call us.

2. Going big with giving back! We're making an even bigger commitment to the "People Helping People" philosophy. The first few months of this year, we have our MLK Day of Service from January 16 - February 18, the Big Giver Campaign $10,000 charitable donation in March 2023 and the Cherry Blossom Run on April 2 to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. (If one of your goals is to get in shape, start training for that run with us!)

3. New mortgage programs are coming! We know buying a home is a complicated process -- and higher mortgage rates may be giving you pause. But we're going to have new mortgage programs that can help you achieve homeownership and the lower interest rates you've been looking for. Stay tuned!

4. Expect new, helpful features on our website! It's not a big redesign, but we're looking forward to adding a chat feature on our website and on digital banking. This will help you get answers to your questions faster!

We hope 2023 is a great year for you — financially, health-wise and for your happiness.

Happy New Year from your friends and partners at CommonWealth One!
